Céline Dion - La Voix d'Or

6-1-08 I will not be able to add any new videos until I figure out what happened to Windows Media Encoder. It seems to have developed a memory leak over the last week. It takes forever to even open a file, uses over 50% CPU resources, and it's memory usage keeps climbing until the whole program crashes. I actually had Task Manager open and was watching the memory usage. It crashes right at about 2 GB. I have no idea what happened; it was not only working fine last week, but I could also multi-task with other programs while it was encoding. Now I can't even get to the actual encoding screen. And having to upgrade to AVG 8 Free sucked too, because it also uses a lot of CPU resources and my email won't work. So that's uninstalled for now - and yes, I did try WME after I uninstalled AVG. So I'm going to see what I can figure out today, and will try again next week. Hmm, I don't seem to have an "angry" smiley. I'll have to look for one. :)

3-23-08 I added the full video of "Incognito - Montréal En Direct" to my video list. I've discovered that my Plextor ConvertX crashes if I leave it alone for more than a half hour. If I jiggle the mouse every few minutes, it records forever. I figured it was some sort of power saving feature or something that was interfering, but everything is set to "off" or "never", so I don't know what it's problem is. But I'm still going to get all my Céline stuff on my computer eventually :).

3-16-08 I added the full video of "Jours De Fièvre - Montréal En Direct" to my video list. The good news is that I've tried my Plextor ConvertX with four tapes and it does work. The bad news is that the tape I was most interested in (my "A New Day Has Come TV Special one) does not come out well at all. The video does this jittery thing literally every couple of seconds throughout the whole thing. I'm not sure why; it looks fine when I watch it on the VCR. And the other three tapes (only one with Céline, because I was trying to figure out the problem) all look fine. And the other three tapes are older by a couple years, so I don't know what the problem is. But after 6 hours of trying to figure it out, I'm giving up on that tape for the moment. I'm going to see if I can encode any of my other Céline ones today. The one that I did (All The Way Special) I've already put up before, so I wasn't going to re-encode that one right now. I'll let you all know how my other tapes work out.

I also got my Plextor ConvertX in the mail, but my TV/VCR is so far from my computer that I couldn't find a cable long enough to go between them. So next weekend I'm borrowing my parents VCR to see how everything works. :)

7-8-07 Adeline and Koolan of the Celine Channel Forum are allowing me to re-encode and post the D'Elles TF1 Special shown on Canadian TV on June 9th. The total sum of these parts is 3.15 GB, so this is going to take me some time. For now, I'm going to finish uploading the En Concert special. When that's finished, I'll start posting the TF1 Special!

Also, I just discovered that on the En Concert files I uploaded last week, I totally messed up the descriptions in the videos themselves (in WMP, If you are playing the file, it's under File, Properties, Content). I forgot to put Brenda's name on it, and I left the year in from the D'Elles DVD special. The En Concert special is 1985

I've added it to my video list. For some reason, re-encoding it is introducing some odd video errors that weren't in the original file. In my opinion, they're only mildly irritating, and since I've tried four times now, I'm leaving the file that way.

5-6-07 I thought that I uploaded the "Misled - music video" before, but I can't find a record of it. I have it re-encoded as an .rm in 2004 and everything, but it's not showing up in my history that I can find, so I'm uploading it now. I even re-encoded it in WMV format at a higher bitrate. I was also trying to encode the Making Of special from the A New Day Has Come dvd, but for some reason my Mpeg encoder is refusing to encode audio, which kind of makes it worthless. So I'll let you know when that's working again.

3-25-07 I still haven't gotten a new ISP yet. However, I was able to download "I Knew I Loved You - Academy Awards" from Céline Maniacs, so I uploaded that this morning.

3-18-07 I uploaded "Puisque Tu Pars - Tapis Rouge" and "My Heart Will Go On - Unicef" this morning. This Internet connection is driving me nuts. It's so freaking slow, and half the time I have to unplug and replug the router to get it working.

3-12-07 I uploaded "Power of Love / Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore - Les Années Tubes" and "Power of the Dream - Olympics" this morning. They're both from Club Céline. And I don't know if it's just my computer or what, but Firefox won't show my new File History page. It keeps showing the previous one that ends in 2-18-07. Maxthon and IE7 don't seem to have this problem; Firefox shows it correctly when I open it directly from my hard drive. Very odd.

3-11-07 Well, I was hoping to upload tonight, but unfortunately I will not be doing so. I only just now got my computer up and running. And apparently the Internet service that's included in the rent is a ridculously slow one, which I was hoping would not be the case. The faster service won't be available until April 1st in my area. I'm hoping to at least upload a couple smaller videos from Club Céline tomorrow, even though it will probably take over an hour to upload each one. I'm looking into a different service entirely, so I may be able to get faster service sooner than April 1. But until then, I'm going to have to stick with the smaller files. Sorry about that!

2-18-07 I will not be updating my site for the next two weeks at least, because I am moving to Florida on March 3. Needless to say, that's going to keep me busy for a short while. I'm hoping to start updating again on March 11, so please check back then. Thanks! :)

12-14-06 Eric uploaded "Falling Into You - TV5" back in July, and I've finally gotten around to putting it up on my site. It can be found in both my download and videoclip lists. I've also moved the majority of 2006 to Old News, because it was getting to be a pain to scroll through.

12-10-06 I'm finally uploading the Let's Talk About Love special. It's a kind of fuzzy throughout the whole thing, but at 540 kbps, it was over a 100 MB more in size, so I thought I'd leave it at 340 Kbps.

12-3-06 I don't have much time today, so I'm uploading a couple more of the Club Céline videos that I haven't found clearer versions of yet. I'm still having trouble with the LTAL special, but I'm still hoping to get it up soon.

You would think after two straight weeks that I would be bored of it at least somewhat by now, but nope. Love it

7-13-06 I will be moving out of my house and into an apartment throughout the next two weeks. I doubt that I will be able to update my site until the beginning of August (not the least of which because I don't know if my Internet will be up and running). If I have time, I'll try to update before I move, but things have been so hectic that this is the first time I've used my computer since Sunday. I added the full videos of "Vivement Dimanche - Parts 4&5" to my video list. I also added a fourth page to my Full Videos, to keep things neat. And should anyone buy a 7900 GT video card - if you have a dual-core processor, make sure that you install the AMD Dual Core Patch. It fixed all of my problems, surprisingly enough. I wish that had occurred to me before I bought a new video card, because now I have to sell the other one. Assuming the 7900 GT makes it through the first month, because that's when most people are having theirs die. We'll see.

6-4-06 I'm obviously going to need to watch some of these huge files before I re-encode them, because I had no idea there was more the to the Vivement Dimanche that Céline Maniacs had. When I downloaded them in February, there were 3 parts. When I was looking through her site today, there were 7! So I'll be putting the rest of the show up over the next few days, hopefully.

6-4-06 I was trying to figure out how to use WinZip 10's ability to split zip files, so it would be easier for dial-up people to download large files. Unfortunately, I never got it to work - every time I tried to download file number 1, it would insist I had an invalid archive. So I found this program called "The File Splitter", and I'm going to see how that works for people. You do not need to have this program on your computer for the files to work. You must, however, download all of the individual files before attempting to run the "Create_filename.exe" file. I hope this is helpful for people!

5-28-06 Well my computer is working for the most part. I'm still not sure if my video card is working properly. The same game sometimes has artifacts and sometimes not, and there seems to be no logic as to when they are occurring. But it's working well enough for me to upload some new videos :) I added the full videos of "Valse Adieu - restaurant" and "Oprah Winfrey - 2002" to my video list.

5-25-06 I will be upgrading my computer this weekend. If all goes well, I'll be uploading as normal on Sunday. If not, you'll all know why.

These were very large files with lots of people (and flames - what's up with the flames?!), so they are as small as I can get them and still not be too fuzzy. So I apologize for that.

1-17-06 I so love NewEgg! I ordered my motherboard yesterday, and it arrived this morning. Everything is up and running, and I didn't even have to replace my old RAM. I still want more, but I'll sell my new incompatible RAM on eBay first. As I have to get to bed within the hour, I'll update tomorrow evening. Have a good night!

1-16-06 Well, I've ordered the same motherboard from NewEgg, and I'm expecting it to arrive by Wednesday (Thursday at the latest). So as long as my memory is still working, I expect to be up and running by the end of the week. And if my RAM isn't working, I'll drive my butt to Staples and pay their exhorbitant prices for more. I still don't know exactly why my motherboard seemingly died. I do realize now that for Dual Channel RAM, I should not mix different brands, and definitely not double-sided and single-sided modules. Although to my credit, I didn't realize that the new RAM was single-sided until I got home and opened it. I hesitated, but installed it anyway, like a total idiot. But I don't understand why the motherboard refused to run even after taking out the new RAM. So word to the wise - don't do what I did. :).

1-14-06 SIGH. I will once *again* not be updating tomorrow, unless a miracle happens. I innocently installed 1GB of RAM in my computer, and now it won't boot. Again. Even after removing the RAM, it still won't boot. I am very sorry about this. My entire day has gone from bad to worse to terrible. I can't seem to do a single thing right today, and I obviously should have stayed in bed. And the worst part is that I can't even figure out what the problem is. Well, I'll try to keep you all updated. Apologies again!!! :(

1-8-06 I added the full videos of "I'm Alive - Late Show", "A New Day Interview - Las Vegas Live", "It's All Coming Back to Me Now - Pop-Up music video, and "eTalk Daily - Parts 1-4" to my video list. And I discovered that I had never re-encoded the mpeg file of "I Drove All Night - music video", so I did that to. But for that one, I simply replaced the .rm version that was listed, since it was very low quality.

I added the full videos of "L'école Des Fans (parts 1-5)", "Toute Une Vie (parts 1-3)", and "Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas, S'il Suffisait D'aimer, Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore, and L'Envie from Les 500 Choristes" to my video list. And I have no idea why the L'école Des Fans and Les 500 Choristes files are so different in re-encoded size, when their original sizes were so similar. But that's how they'll have to be, because I can't encode any lower than what I did in Windows Media Encoder, and RealProducer isn't working.

All 374 of my videoclips are now here for downloading full time! My List of Videos page now has links to every videoclip. I've uploaded all the pictures for the clips as well, so clicking on a link will take you directly to that picture and download link. You CANNOT download the clips directly from the List of Videos page. I did this on purpose, because for me, it's easier to determine if I already have a videoclip by looking at the picture, rather than by the description. You can, of course, go directly to the videoclip pages through the link above.

I've included a drop-down menu for the videoclip pages, because there are 13 pages total. I put 30 pictures/clips per page, which I hope isn't too much for people on dial-up. I apologize to anyone at 800 x 600, but the videoclip pages are going to take some scrolling. I couldn't get the pictures to line up next to each other, no matter how small I reduced their size. So I decided to leave them at full size. And lastly, all files here are still being zipped, to make them easier to download.

I have all of my songclips and videoclips uploaded to the server. I think I have all the html for my songclips correct, and I'm working now on getting the HTML for my videoclip pages written.

11-20-05 And in case someone is wondering why I haven't put up new clips of Céline's new stuff on On Ne Change Pas, it's because I can't get the CD to play on my computer. And my attempts to remove the Sony software has left me with a DVD-RW drive that doesn't read any DVD's. Oddly enough, it still reads CD's though. 11-20-05 I am going to be moving my site to a new server, 1&1. I don't know how long this will take me, but it's starting smoothly anyway. My home page looks right. I'm doing this because it occurred to me last week just how much this website is costing me. It's a total of $145 a year, for 400 MB of space and 5GB of monthly bandwidth. With the new server I'm be going to, it will cost me $60 a year, and I have 5 GB (that's 5,000 MB) of space and 250 GB of bandwidth. So yeah.

Freewebs is a great for free sites, but not so good at pay sites - at least not when you need large amounts of space and bandwidth. My new address will be www.lavoixdor.net. I'll let you all know when it's actually up and running correctly. And when it is, ahh the videos!!! I'm going to do what Let's Talk About Céline does, and just put up all of my videoclips and leave them up. Then I'll concentrate on full videos every week. Have a good night!

10-4-05 Just wanted to let everyone know that my computer isn't working right now. I have my external hard drive, so I'm going to update on Sunday from my parent's computer. And for anyone who has an MSI motherboard, I do not suggest flashing to the version 1.9 bios. I cannot boot my computer in any way, shape or form. I had to call their tech support line and they're sending me a replacement bios chip. I'm hoping this means that my bios isn't soldered to the board, because I wouldn't know how to go about replacing that. Anyway, just keeping people informed. Have a good night!

7-25-05 5:58 pm, EST Well I was able to get on Freewebs at work this afternoon, and it said that I was over my bandwidth. Which obviously should not effect my ability to even see their home page, but I upgraded my bandwidth nonetheless. And now at home, I can't get on their site again. I'm not having this problem with any other site.

7-24-05 11:20 am, EST Freewebs seems to be down, unless it's just my computer. I can't access my page at all, so guess I'll be updating later. I added the full video of "The Reason - Carramba Che Fortuna" to my video list. It's encoded in WMV format because it was crashing RealProducer. 8:15 pm I still cannot get on the site. I guess I'll be doing this tomorrow then.

4-10-05 Well, as it turns out, I misunderstood where the 1 Fille & 4 Types video came from. Apparently, it has the almost the same name as the bonus video on the dvd, but this one was actually shown on tv. I wish I had known that before I spent $35 for it, because the one on the bonus dvd is only about 15 minutes long. Oh well. :)

9-5-04 Well, that was 15 hours of work.

All I have left to do is fix some minor irritations, and to re-install Knights of the Old Republic and the Sims. That went much more smoothly than I thought. Well, except for the fact that Norton Ghost will make an image of my new NTFS drives, but will only give me the option of saving to A:\. Needless to say, my 4GB image does not fit on a floppy.

9-3-04 I may not be updating my site on Sunday. I'm going to be re-formatting my computer. Nothing's wrong with it, and I haven't lost anything, but I've been upgrading from one operating system to the next since Windows 95, and I just want to get rid of all the junk leftover in the Registry from the past several years. I'm not sure how long this will take, as I have never done this before in my life. Wish me luck! :)

8-30-04 I can't believe that Eric uploaded the same file as I did! This is really getting creepy. I also added the full video of My Heart Will Go On (music video, RM). I left this file at 15.5MB, which is much larger than I'd like for people on dial-up. For reasons past my understanding I had trouble getting this video to be clear, and that's including the fact that the video is half-size due to being in widescreen. Anyway, a good evening to all! :)

8-24-04 Eight new full length videos have been added to my list! I've added: The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (All the Way tv special), Have You Ever Been In Love (music video - there's some picture degrading in this one, but I didn't want to make the file too big), One Heart (music video - definite quality problems with this file, even though I left it at 11.3MB. There's just so much motion in the video), Next Plane Out (music video - either the file or the video itself is very dark), To Love You More (Live in Memphis - also 11.3MB, and also fairly dark), Then You Look At Me (music video - the sound is very low but great quality), I Drove All Night / Vegas (Behind the scenes, mainly of the IDAN music video), and lastly You And I (WMV - some behind the scenes of recording the song). HYEBIL, One Heart, IDAN/Vegas, and Next Plane Out were encoded from very large files located at Céline Maniacs. You And I was taken as is from that site as well. If you have broadband, the site is a must visit! I wish I could afford the space and bandwidth to put up the huge files that they can. I would also like to remind everyone that if you ever want me to re-encode files that I have made at a higher bit rate, I will be glad to do so. Have a good night!

8-22-04 I added the full music video of All By Myself (It's always specified as "white t-shirt"; Is there another music video for All By Myself that this one needs to be differentiated from?). I've had this video for a while, but just noticed today that's it's not on my video list. Also, I've got a bunch of new full length videos, because I now have a working converter! :) I've had FlaskMpeg on my computer for years but have never been able to get it to work. But with the help of IFOedit it now seems to be working! :) I haven't listed all the videos I'm working on yet because I'm not done, and frankly I've been doing this all weekend and I want stop now while I still have a few hours left of the day. All of my new clips are up and running! Uploading and checking links went much faster than I thought. I'm still trying to find an mpeg converter that works, so for now I'm done with my website. As soon as I find one I'll get back to making more full length videos. Have a good night!

8-15-04 I moved my "Live in Las Vegas" clips to the regular pages so that I don't need three new song clip pages. I've finished the HTML for my new clips (Let me say again that columns rule!), just need to upload all the files and then check all the links (all 158 x 2 of them). 8-12-04 I finished converting all of my song clips to RMA and WMA. All that's left is the HTML, but I think I'll take a break from it for the rest of today anyway.

8-8-04 My DVD to Mpeg converter has stopped working for whatever the reason. I've been trying to get it to convert something all day, and it keeps making files with no sound no matter what I do. So FYI, I won't be making any more full length videos until I can find another program that will actually work as described. Sorry!

8-1-04 I added some full videos to my collection from the Colour of My Love Concert DVD - Ce N'était Qu'un Rêve (RM), Beauty and the Beast (RM), and the Colour of My Love (WMV). I'm working on The Power of Love and When I Fall in Love, but they're so long and I'm having trouble getting them down to a reasonable size without sacrificing too much quality. At the moment they're 14 and 11.5 MB, which is a little bigger than I'd like. So I'll be doing that today. Have a good day! :)

7-29-04: They re-set my bandwidth counter, even though it's supposed to happen on the 4th. This is the first time I've really paid attention to it, so maybe it always happens early. Anyway, I'm through S on my English songs. Once I'm done, then I have to convert them to WMA and RMA. I'm leaning towards putting all these English (well mostly English) songs on their own page(s) while I'm re-organizing all my current songs to eventually fit the new songs in. That shouldn't actually take too long, but it's very boring so I'd rather split it up over several nights. :) I finally received my COML dvd in the mail; I can't believe it took 9 days. I definitely want to record the videos of her singing Ce N'était Qu'un Rêve, When I Fall in Love, The Power of Love and The Colour of My Love. Those were my favorites. Sadly, I have to agree with some of the reviews on Amazon - the camera angles shift so often it can be irritating to watch. That's about it for today. Have a good night!

I've paid for more bandwidth, and it says my account will be updated within 48 hours. Of course, since no one can load my homepage until they update my account, you'll all be reading this after the fact. I was actually logging in to say that I can't believe Eric and I have uploaded the same videos twice over the last month. What are the chances of that? :) I always check his site, but if he doesn't list all four videos for the upcoming week than I can't know exactly what he's uploading. Oh well. Oops. :)

7-25-04: Lazy person that I am, I haven't actually done any more songs since Wednesday. But I promise to do some more today. :) I also have not recorded any more videos, because I'm not sure which ones I want to do, and I'm still waiting for my COML dvd. It seems to be taking a while to get here. I put up Beauty and the Beast, but I decided to record it in WMA format because the quality seemed comparable to the RealMedia one I did, but the WMA is 2MB less. Granted, it's still almost 11MB, because I like to have the video quality high. Personally, I would rather spend a few extra minutes downloading to get non-blurry video. If anyone wants me to re-record at a lower bitrate, just say so and I'll put that up too. Obviously I can only do this for the videos that I record :). Have a good day!

7-21-04: I'm through L now. And I bought the Colour of My Love concert dvd finally. I found a way to record some of Céline's music videos from my dvd's to mpeg and then to RealMedia/WindowsMedia. I'll put some up on Sunday, though I don't think they're anything people haven't seen before. So far all I've done is If You Asked Me To, Misled, Sous le Vent (white plane), and Beauty and the Beast. 7-16-04: I'm halfway through "I" with my English song clips. I'm not rushing to get through them, just doing about 15 a night. I'm still debating whether to put them up as "new" clips or to just put them where they belong, because there's so many of them. I'll probably end up making a third and fourth song clips page, because I'm trying not to have too many clips on one page. I want to make sure things load fairly quickly. On an entirely different note, I'm not sure the Céline Dion Web Ring Ringmaster is around any more. It's been almost a week and he hasn't gotten back to me. I'll give it another week before I take down the code. Good night for today! :)

7-10-04: Say it with me now, everyone! Columns are your friend!

I finally found the correct way to use style sheets to organize my song clips. No more hours spent manually lining up the song links on the right to be straight. For anyone who's interested, Glish CSS Layouts is where I found the proper CSS code. A word to the wise: if you use a column layout with the "float" declaration, you might need to use the <br clear="all" /> in your HTML in order to stop the rest of your page from acting like your columns. At least, I had to anyway. Ahh, no more on the computer for today. Good night!

7-9-04: I figured out my font problem! I had quote marks around my font names in my style sheet. Apparently, Netscape and Mozilla don't like that. Of course, you aren't supposed to have quote marks; that was my mistake. I learned something new too! Am I the only one who didn't realize that the "alt" tag is not meant for tooltips? You're supposed to use the "title" tag to create tooltips on images. Nowhere in my HTML book does it say this. I learned that from the Mozilla FAQ when I was searching for an answer to my font problem. Just goes to show that you never know what you'll learn when you're looking up something completely unrelated. :)

7-8-04: again New song clips! I finished the song clips from Céline's "Live in Las Vegas" album. They are up and running on the new clips page. I'll figure out the whole font thing tomorrow (hopefully). Good night!

7-8-04: Well this is irritating. I decided to install Netscape and Mozilla to check how my website looks on them, and on both my fonts aren't being honored. I'm not sure what that's about. It works fine on both IE itself and MyIE2. I don't know if it's just me or what. If you're seeing my website and the home page heading looks like it's in Times New Roman, than you aren't seeing my page as I mean it to be. It's supposed to be Monotype Corsiva. I'd understand if someone didn't have the font, but I do so I don't see why it doesn't work. I know I have the options to allow websites to use their own fonts checked. The other weird thing is that my Links bar on both of them are coming up in Times New Roman instead of Arial. But they are showing Arial in other parts of my site. Too confusing for me. Oh well.

7-7-04: I moved my "new" (1 Fille & 4 Types) clips over to the regular song clip pages. Re-aligning all of the text is a pain, because I can't draw a straight line with a ruler, much less try to line up words by sight. So if they aren't perfectly straight, it's all my fault. :) I'm making new song clips of Céline's "Live in Las Vegas" album, but I haven't finished. Actually as of now I haven't even started, but I hope to start tomorrow. I've also downloaded about 2/3 of my English songs to my computer, so I can start making some English clips too. Good night!

Usually I just update the number of total videos and the date. And of course, every once in a while, I subtract because I re-count and discovered that I messed up. :) So from now on, I'll let everyone know what I'm adding. Today, I added the 4th Promo Interview from A New Day..., because for some reason I missed downloading it; and I added Hommage à Félix Leclerc (Le train du nord), both of which I downloaded from Céline Dion Rare Videoclips. And I'm sending Eric Lee a big thank you for finishing uploading all of the videos I missed! :) Finally, the papers that have been sitting next to my computer for a good 8 years are gone! 6-13-04: Freewebs never actually answered me, but they did cancel my second Webzoom account. Today is supposed to be the last day for it, so I'm not sure if my site will be working properly tomorrow or not. I think it will be alright, but we'll see. Have a good day! :)

5-24-04: 7:52 pm, EST I haven't had any problems in the last few days. I'm still waiting for Freewebs to answer my question though. Sometimes they get back immediately, and sometimes they just don't answer me. It can be irritating. For now, if the downloading links don't work, try the site again in a few mintues.

5-19-04: 4:20 pm, EST My site apparently will be not be working all the time until someone can help me figure out why I keep ending up with two FastDownloading services! There should only be one. My site is working at the moment, though it wasn't 5 minutes ago. If the site doesn't work, try again in few minutes.

5-17-04: 9:58pm, EST. I'm finally back home, and apparently everything is working now. Freewebs sent me a one-line e-mail that said "fixed". That's all I really needed to know, so everything is going well once again. Good night to all! :)

5-17-04: 4:37pm, EST. Webzoom (my fast downloading capability) is not working at the moment. It was working 10 minutes ago. My videos, song clips, and pictures (so in essence, everything) will not be working until Webzoom starts working again. If this does not change within the next hour, I'll e-mail Freewebs and see what's going on. Sorry everyone!

4-19-04: Freewebs wouldn't let me log in yesterday, but my videos for the week are up and running as of 2:30 pm today. Just FYI :)

4-2-04: I found out how to capture screenshots from videos on my computer!

While I was on DVD Demystified's FAQ for other reasons, I came across this section: "Why can't I take a screenshot of DVD Video? Why do I get a pink or black square?" Long story short, the solution is "Hardware acceleration must be turned off before screen capture will work.". I have never turned off hardware acceleration in my life, so that explains why I've never been able to make this work. So now I can get screenshots of all of my full length videos, as well some of Eric's that I'm missing. I hope this information will be useful for some of you too!

2-8-04: Finished updating! Just a change to one of my Ziggy videos, nothing else. Or at least, nothing else that I noticed. :) So that will be all for now. I'd still like to create sound clips for her English albums as well, but I just haven't been in the mood for that kind of extrememly long project. Have a great week!

1-25-04: Did a little more updating. I mistakenly thought that I had the Power of Love performance from the 22nd American music awards, but apparently I have the Bill Clinton Gala one. Honestly, I'm starting to feel embarrassed while updating these things. I'm always so careful to write down the descriptions when I download the videos, but somehow I'm messing up. :) And hey, I have another Refuse to Dance video! I didn't realize that the Colour of My Love special and the concert available on videotape are two different things. Apparently I've had two videos for months and just now noticed. Well, I've managed to get through S for the day. Maybe I'll have this done next week! :) Finally. Have a great week! :)

1-18-04: I fixed a couple more descriptions. I don't know why I had Everybody's Talkin' My Baby Down as being a music video, but other than that nothing too interesting going on. I'm through J now, so I'm getting there at least. Have a great week! :)

1-11-04: I'm sure this will matter to no one but me, but I've updated some of my descriptions of my videos. Most especially the Billy and Chrysler ones, because as I'm trying to decide which videos to upload, I realized that I couldn't tell them apart based on what I had written. So I went on a spirited 45-minute search for the truth! I stopped at E for today, as it is quite time-consuming :), but I hope to finish over the next couple of weeks. Have a good day! :)

12-1-03: My Videoclips for the week are up and running. Freewebs wouldn't let me upload yesterday; I could log in, but every time I tried to do anything it said the page was unavailable. First problem I've had with Freewebs concerning uptime, so I still think they're a great host!

10-26-03: Well thankfully, my computer did not give me a hard time. Everything is working beautifully, so I have been able to upload new videos this week. Not much else going on for now though. Have a good week!

10-19-03: The new song clips from Céline's new album, 1 Fille & 4 Types are up! They aren't too long, because obviously I don't want to get sued. But I did put up the whole (1:13) of the "hidden" track, Valse Adieu. That's all I'll be doing for now, other than uploading new videos every week. However, I'm going to be fiddling with my computer either this coming up weekend, or the one after. So I may not be able to upload then. It depends on whether I can do what I'm trying to do without totally trashing my computer. I'll keep you updated! :) Have a great night!

10-16-03: All song and video clips now have Fast Downloading capabilities! Of course if you're on dial-up, I don't know how fast it will go, but on my DSL it goes at a great speed (80-120 Kbps). I also received Céline's new album today! Amazon.ca said I wouldn't get if for 8-16 days, and it came in 2. Today is a good day. :) Have a great night!

10-15-03: Freewebs has answered me! Yay! It turns out that I need to change the name on all of my song and videoclip links. I've changed all my video links, and it works!! Page One of the songclips is done, I'll take care of Page Two tomorrow. Have a good night! :)

10-10-03: Page one is up! Page two is up, technically, but I haven't checked the links yet. Then I'll be done, for the moment. Or at least until Céline's new album comes out next week (although I don't think mine will be arriving that quickly).

10-9-03: Well, I'm doing good. I've finished the first page of song clips, although I haven't put a link up to them yet because I haven't checked to make sure all the links are working properly. Lining up the second row is more difficult than I thought, as I'm trying to make sure that people at 800x600 don't get a messed up page. I have also e-mailed Freewebs tech support to find out why my files are downloading so slowly. I've paid for full service and it supposedly includes downloads that are up to 100Mb per second. Right now I'm averaging about 2kb per second. Slight difference there. So we'll see. Have a good night! :)

10-4-03: I finally finished my song clips! :) I'm not sure if I can get them up between tonight and tomorrow unfortunately. I still have to figure out the layout of the pages and so on. But hopefully within one more week I should be able to get it done. FYI :)

9-27-03: Well I was almost done with my song clips, and then I discovered that lowering the bitrate does not make a smaller file (as in the difference between 44khz and 24khz). I swear that it used to, because I remember how I was always trying to get the highest quality without having a huge file. So even though I already had almost 60 clips done, I've gone back to the beginning to make them all sound better. I worked all day yesterday on this, and I estimate that I still have about 60 clips total left. I'm hoping to have them done by the end of next week, and up over the weekend, if possible. Just FYI. :)

9-17-03: Just thought I'd let anyone who's interested know that I'm working on my song clips every night. It takes forever, but hey at least I'm listening to Céline! :) I'm also thinking of doing lyrics (which I got from Passion Céline Dion, which sadly closed just a few weeks ago), because they have both the French and the English translation. Just FYI. :)

9-11-03: DAY ONE I'm trying to get this webpage back up again. I have 200 MB of space ready to fill! After I remake my song clips, I'll get those pages up. That will take lots of time, so for now, Videos! ;) There will be some new song clips this fall at least, as Céline has a new French album coming out in October. :) Have a great day!
